Singer OMI picked up two nominations for the recently announced Billboard Music Awards.
OMI who hails from Clarendon, took the international scene by storm when his 2012 hit single Cheerleader was re-released for the international market.
Cheerleader has been nominated for the Top Selling Song of 2015.
It will go up against Adele’s Hello, Wiz Khalifa’s See You Again, The Hills by The Weeknd and Fight Song by Rachel Platten.
OMI will also challenge Fetty Wap, Charlie Puth, Silento and Bryson Tiller for the Top New Artiste Award.
Ludacris and Ciara will host the 2016 Billboard Music Awards on May 22.
