On this day, April 20, 2016, Twitter rejoiced like never before when it was announced one of the the nation’s most fearless abolitionist Harriet Tubman will replace former president (and slave owner) Andrew Jackson on the twenty dollar bill.According to the New York Times, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing is expected to roll out the new Tubman $20 in 2020 just in time for the 100th anniversary of Woman’s Suffrage and the 19th Amendment.

Yet, despite the four year wait, Twitter simply couldn’t help but react to the news, and in true fashion spoke its peace. Some Tweets were thoughtful, others believing the historic commemoration of Tubman doesn’t eradicate the country’s problems with race, while some Tweets were just plain hilarious.
