MULTI-PLATINUM-SELLING recording artiste Sean Paul dropped his latest track yesterday, one called Back It Up Deh, which was released on his own record label Dutty Rock Productions through ONEprm.

The song was written and produced entirely by Sean Paul at Dutty Rock Studios in St Andrew. He took a similar hands-on approach with the music video, which he co-directed with Kieran Khan.

Speaking about the new song, Sean Paul explained the process of creating the work.
“It’s a track that I produced. I made the riddim myself from my groove, my vibes on my drum machine, and the Dutty Rock team assisted with the mixing process. Back It Up Deh is very danceable, ‘twerkable’, and is a good vibe. We all need good vibes under this lockdown. I hope y’all like it,” he noted.

On working with Sean Paul, co-director Khan shared that being able to create the visuals against a Jamaican backdrop was a pleasure for him.

“Being able to shoot this music video for the legend that is Sean Paul, with his home city of Kingston as the backdrop, and then being able to find dancers from all over the world and have them represent for dancehall made this a killer video.”

This new video is amongst an array of visuals from the entertainer this year. Other releases include Lento with Latin artistes Tainy, Mozart La Para, and Cazu; Bigs Tings on his Dutty Rock’s No Caption rhythm; and Born Gyallis produced by Chimney Records. Additionally, there is Calling On Me featuring Tove Lo on the Island Records imprint.
